I really like this idea. Since there are so many followers of books like Twilight, I think students would really be able to grasp this theme and relate it to their interest in Twilight. I also think vampires are easy to exaggerate and create any form of, making it that much "easier" for the student to write.
The picture is very graphic, but the prompt behind it is very creative. I would get really into it and want to create my own disater, or vampire, date story.
Interesting Pictures. Seeing as I love romantic vampires, I would love to see a beautiful image of a vampire and then write a romantic vampire story that turns to tragedy.
