Hey Chris, I like your prompt. I also used a jack o'lantern in my prompt. I had students do a research activity, but I like your narrative prompt. Lots of people have good memories of carving jack o'lanterns, so I would expect a lot of kids to write about that. Sounds like something they'd enjoy.
